Major Mode (Jeanne's violin and viola teaching studio) has performed at the Cummer Museum of Art and at the Boyd Chapel of Ortega United Methodist Church. The group has several informal programs during the school year and individual students participate in concerts in their schools and churches. Each February Major Mode participates in the District Festival of the Florida Federation of Music Clubs. Students play solos, concerto movements, and duos for a judge's comments and ratings. Five members of Major Mode are in the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. They are Brett Batchelor, Addison McKendree, David Sack, Aaron Swanson, and Kara Swanson. In January 2005, Brett Batchelor participated in All-State 7th & 8th grade Orchestra.
